Keto Select is a lifestyle brand that aims to promote healthy living through its dietry and lifestyle advice and products. A Ketogenic lifestyle comprises eating low carbohydrate foods allowing the body to produce ketones in the liver that, in turn, create energy. Since the glucose is being used as a primary energy, fats are not needed and are therefore stored. Typically on a normal higher carbohydrate diet the body will use glucose as the main form of energy. By lowering the intake of carbs, the body is induced into a state known as ketosis. The objective of this project was to create an identity that would convey this ‘simplistic’ clean eating approach.
Our initial designs were based around our research of ketogenics; an approach which demands commitment and dedication but which can prove both rewarding and beneficial to your health. A well-balanced, lean and stripped back identity was developed supported by a brand seal that conveys quality and assurance. The logo was created using custom letter forms arranged in a stack to denote organisation and structure; both facets of a ketogenic lifestyle. Budgets for the project were limited, so we were able to utilise stock imagery to create a visual style that was lifestyle driven and rich in imagery.
